Verizon a more reliable network than AT&T – Steve Wozniak

For years we have been reading through comments left at the bottom of our articles which argue who is the better North American carrier, Verizon or AT&T, well sometimes an opinion from “someone in the know” settles the argument for many, how about Steve Wozniak?

Earlier we told you about how Woz queued-up for the iPhone 4S at the Apple Store in Los Gatos, California, now we have managed to get our hands of an interview with Steve (in the queue Talking about Apple, Siri and carriers) – there’s lots to get through but what struck us the most was what he said when revealing which model he was choosing, here’s his answer:

Verizon, because its a more reliable network.

Most people will look at this small sentence and not think a lot of it, however to us it finally confirms what many people have been saying for a long time, that is that Verizon is the better carrier than AT&T – we are aware that Wozniak also ordered two AT&T models, but that does not change what he said in his interview.

We have embedded the interview at the bottom of this post (via TechCrunch) and it is great to see what a decorated computer engineer and programmer thinks about the iPhone 4S and the direction he wants to see technology head in. He clearly states that he has been a massive fan of Siri and has been using it for a long-while now, he thinks in the future we should have answer engines rather than search engines, by this he means that he doesn’t want Siri to list a page of links where he might be able to find the answer he is looking for, instead he wants Siri to reply with an accurate answer – we have to agree that this is certainly a nice dream, which is becoming reality.

Remember the interview can be seen below, what do you make of it?
