The new Verizon 4G LTE SIM is getting very close now for two reasons — a photo of the card has been spotted and we also have an update on its release. An alleged report states that some internal documents were leaked and that they offer details on the planned rollout of the 4G SIM in 30 cities.
Sean Hollister from Engadget explains that Verizon is on target for more than 100 million connections by the end of 2010, there is even a photo of the new LTE SIM card for you to feast your eyes on — ok, it looks like just another SIM card.
We have known for a while that the new card will offer fast speeds on LTE, but reports of 30ms latency is just mind blowing. This is certainly great news and means that we can soon look forward to 4G capable tablet PC devices in 2011.
The idea of Verizon using a SIM in the U.S. has certainly confused Chris Ziegler from Engadget, as it is something that none of us ever expected to see. See more photos of the Big Red’s LTE 4G SIM.
