Valentine’s Day 2014 apps for iOS & Android

Valentine’s Day can often be tricky to get right so for those of you who need a helping hand, we are going to look to some of the best iOS and Android apps out for 2014.

Sometimes things can be left to the last minute and you might forget to make that dinner reservation that has been spoken about for months. The ‘OpenTable‘ app should do the trick as it picks up all of the restaurants within your area and provides you with seating availability at the time you want to eat. Simply find the slot that suits you and its as easy as that!

A tradition of Valentine’s Day has been to exchange cards, letters and gifts, however in today’s technology we can send them digitally too. ‘Angela’s Valentine‘ allows you to send a variety of different love themed e-cards with captions on them. Simply choose the one you like from the app, save it to your device and then send it to your Valentine by text, email or social networks.

Alternatively you could send your other half a love poem with the app that is craftily known as ‘Love Poems‘. This is another free app and can be downloaded on Android, giving you access to database of over 700 different poems which you can hand pick and send to the special person in your life.

If you need some help setting the mood then download ‘Valentine RADIO‘ which is free on both platforms. Save time on trying to create a romantic playlist and tune into the station which is packed with love songs from across the world. Unless you have some personal songs which will make the night special, this is definitely an app worth downloading on February 14th.

If you are looking for something a bit different then you could try ‘Disney Where’s My Valentine‘ which has been described as a love themed game featuring characters Swamp and Perry. With over 250 level and loads of familiar content from the Disney movie, this could provide a different kind of fun.

If you are still looking at gifts to buy then we featured a guide on different Valentine’s Day themed iPad Mini and iPad Air cases that you might want to have a look at. If you have downloaded any of these featured apps then let us know what you think of them by leaving a comment.
