US Windows Phone 7 ‘NoDo’ Update: March Schedule

We reported to you yesterday that Microsoft has finally started to rollout the NoDo update for Windows Phone 7, but up until now we had no idea what phones will receive the update and when. However, we have come across a spreadsheet that shows which handsets will be getting the latest version of WP7 throughout March.

Looking on the Microsoft website you will see a chart, all you need do is look for your phone and then you will be able to see the status of its update. There will be three stages, the first is testing, which you can see most phones are undergoing. The second in scheduling, this means that it has finished its testing stage and should be ready for download 10 days or less.

Finally we have delivering update, this means that customers will start to receive their updates, but could take weeks for users to receive theirs. We can clearly see on the US chart here that no WP7 handsets have been updated, and there are still no dates either.

However, when you take a look at the international page here, you can clearly see that some handsets have already received the update, but are you one of them? Is seems as though handset OS updates are just as complicated for Windows Phone 7 as it is for Google Android, this is because they both have multiple handsets to deal with. However, this is something that Apple does not have to worry about with iOS, as it is only the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch that uses the mobile operating system, which as we know are all made by Apple.
