Updated iWatch concept with iOS 7 UI

It was at the end of October that we got to see the latest iWatch concept, which looked a lot like the Nike Fuelband — well certain aspects of its design. However, its UI was only basic and this led people to wonder what it would be like running IOS 7 if it were to be released soon.

We don’t think for one moment that the design of the iWatch will be anything like this concept, but it’s interesting to imagine what it would look like running iOS 7, which you can see for yourself in the video loop below.

This latest Apple iWatch concept takes things a step further, but has still retained a clean, simplest design. Something that we know Apple loves to do. You will see on this iWatch that it features no home button on this mockup, instead there is a single button on the left, along with a further two on the opposite side to control the volume.

You will see in the other images seen here that there will be a limited home screen, which is obvious considering the small amount of real estate available. However, it does give you the perception that there is more compared to a more square iWatch design.

While the iWatch specification of this concept have not been shared, we are told that there is a button on the screen to activate Siri, as well as a b&w interface to display the time and date, which no doubt was thought of to help conserve battery life.

The release date for the iWatch is still unknown to us, but seeing as though Apple recently hired new recruits in this field of expertise, it does make us wonder if it will not be till later this year, which means it would run some sort of custom iOS 8 UI instead.

Maybe this hiring was due to the fact that the project has been running into difficulty because of the rumored iWatch battery life problems?
