Upcoming Xbox One, PS4 RPG fuses Skyrim and Red Dead

We have heard the cry from gamers that they would love to see a follow up to Red Dead Redemption brought to the Xbox One and PS4, along with Skyrim also being ported to these next-gen consoles. While we may not be able to bring you a news update on either game, we can tell you that a possible upcoming RPG could be heading to these two consoles and will fuse both these games along with The Witcher.

A kickstarter project was setup asking for £300,000 on a game titled Kingdom Come: Deliverance and to prove how popular this project is, we can tell you that those behind the game have been pledged £229,998 to date, with 28 days left, that’s just £70,000 to go.

The game is not due to be released until 2015 and will also be available on PC, Linux, and Mac OS X.

Warhorse Studios has said that the game does not offer have any mythical, fantasy or magical elements, which makes us wonder why they are said to fuse Skrim, Red Dead and The Witcher. However, Mafia designer Daniel Vavra answers that by saying Kingdom Come: Deliverance has the freedom and mechanics of Bethesda’s game and the storytelling of the other two titles.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance is described as an open world RPG set in Medieval Europe, which we know was a very violent place to be because of ongoing wars and how villagers were treated. The story follows a young blacksmith who has lost everything important to him from the war, and rather than dwell on it and seek revenge he decides to save a young king who has been kidnapped.

The video below will help to explain things a little better, along with visiting this Kickstarter page. However, we can tell you that some of the Kingdom Come: Deliverance features will include a revolutionary combat system, open world landscape, ability to build relationships with characters, create weapons, potions and so much more. The project does sound promising and we just hope that what is being promised to us does not get diluted during its development.

Have you had a chance to take a closer look at this game, if so do you think it will have a positive outcome?
