Upcoming cars expected in India for August 2014

With another month almost over we thought now would be the perfect time to take a look at the upcoming cars in India for August 2014. There are only four models expected to be launched to the Indian market next month, although as ever these are subject to change.

TATA has two models, the Bolt and Zest, and the other two are from Audi and Jaguar, which are the new A3 and XJ 2.0L Premium Luxury LWB. If you are looking to purchase a car in India over the coming year and not next month, then we do have a more extensive list here.

The Audi A3 release in India will see bookings go live from August 1st at a price of Rs 3.5 Lakh. Its launch will take place on August 7th, so you had best get your name down quick. Assembly of this vehicle started last week and so Audi is well prepared for the influx of orders.

Next month will also see the launch of the Tata Bolt with a price of INR 4.45 — 6.75 lakhs, ex-Showroom. This small car is to come with a choice of two engines, one petrol and the other diesel, more details of which can be found on Indian Autos Blog, as the Bolt was recently spotted being tested on the road.

Sticking with the same company we have the Tata Zest, which was also spied in testing not so long ago, and so an August release is still on the cards. Even though the car was camouflaged, you still get a good idea of what it looks like, although you don’t get to see its interior. Details of the Zest can be found here, such as the expected Tata Zest price in India.

Finally, we have the Jaguar XJ 2.0L Premium Luxury LWB, which was first spotted back in 2012. While the exterior is pretty similar to other XJ models, the interior to this limited edition model for the Indian market is very different. It is a place for those who love lavish interiors, although the sound from that powerful 3.0-litre V6 supercharged engine is a lovely soundtrack to listen to. The price of this vehicle is expected to be Rs 92,62,567 to Rs 99,21,392, and we should not have too long to wait to find out the exact price.

These look to be the only car models being released in India next month, but we will keep you updated if any more are due to be released earlier than expected.
