Uncharted 4 PS4 setback with creative loss

The development for the next Uncharted game for PS4 has been disrupted after a leading member of Naughty Dog left the company. Amy Hennig has departed the studio believed to be creating Uncharted 4 for the PS4, with this setback a big creative loss for future game.

Sony has confirmed to IGN that the development timeline of Uncharted will not be impacted by Hennig’s departure, showing appreciation for her significant contributions to Naughty Dog. Amy Hennig worked as the creative director and writer for the Uncharted series and spent over 10 with the game studio.

It is believed that Hennig was fronting the development of Uncharted 4, with rumors being whispered that she was forced out by Neil Druckmann and Bruce Straley who worked on ‘The Last Of Us’ project. Sources have now indicated that the Uncharted project now may be under their control, it will be interesting to see what the rest of the Naughty Dog team think of this move.

Despite Hennig’s last day at work on Monday 3rd March, it should be business as usual for the development team creating Uncharted 4. Expectations for this upcoming game will be high as it is being built to the strength’s of Sony’s PS4, the graphics should be stunning. Lets hope that the gameplay is even better and this change in personnel does not disrupt the development process.
