Uncharted 4 companion app could enhance experience

Let’s get one thing straight from the start, there has been no confirmation of an Uncharted 4 companion app, and going on previous versions of the game it is unlikely to happen. However, what if Naughty Dog were to consider giving its users an Android or iOS app to go with its next big title, it could help to enhance your experience of the game.

We know that some games do not need to have an app to help you progress, although they do make it more enjoyable, and easier for certain tasks, with Assassin’s Creed Unity Companion a perfect example. While there are a few similarities with these two games, UC4 is more like Tomb Raider Definitive Edition in terms of gameplay, and the worrying thing here as that this never had a companion app.

Having the ability to take Uncharted 4 (see latest gameplay) and put it in the palm of your hand would be awesome for so many reasons, and could be a chance for the developers to fill it full of activities and strategic information that will help you go further in the game.

Nathan always has to solve puzzles and to consult his book, and so using an app to do this could make like a little easier. This way you could even have a friend helping you out by bringing up certain information on your mobile device via the app, while you are still playing the game itself.

Puzzles are a main part of this game, and so an app could help you discover them with extra information added, rather than filling the game up with unnecessary content. You could also access your equipment and then see what weapons you have or other such items to help you with certain missions.

It is hard to know just what gamers would think about Uncharted 4 getting a companion app, but I for one would welcome it, but would you and if so what features would you like to see?
