When the uDraw gaming peripheral first released exclusively for the Nintendo Wii console last year, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 owners may have felt as though they were missing out. However, it now appears that the uDraw Game Tablet is heading to Xbox 360 and PS3 after all.
According to a recent article by Fred Dutton over on the eurogamer.net website, the publisher THQ recently revealed that that uDraw add-on sold a total of 1.7 million units in the 2011 fiscal year. For that reason, they have decided to expand the brand onto the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
Unfortunately we haven’t got a specific release date for the uDraw peripheral as of yet, as THQ CEO Brian Farrell simply stated that it would arrive this holiday. The uDraw Game Tablet was for the Nintendo Wii in late 2010 in the United States, and in March 2011 in Europe.
The uDraw currently boasts 4 supported titles — uDraw Studio, Dood’s Big Adventure, Pictionary and the SpongeBob SquigglePants game, which as we mentioned in a previous article, was also announced for the newly released Nintendo 3DS handheld gaming system.
