Twitter: Follow Bill Gates or Obama?

Twitter just seems relentless in its growth, it seems that everyone wants to get in on the action. Microsoft’s Bill Gates is a bit late to the party, but thought that it was time to start sharing his thoughts with the world. Gates had got off to a great start on his first day, with thousands of followers signing up, but he has a long way to go if he wishes to catch up with Barack Obama.

Many people have been saying how come Gates is so behind on followers, but we have to remember that he opened up his Twitter account a few days ago. In that time he got 151,000 followers in just a few short hours, he now has almost 350,000.

However, when you take into consideration Obama’s 3.2 million followers, the Microsoft finder has a lot of work to do. Then again being the first African American President of the Untied States would have helped his popularity a great deal.

Obama is certainly kept busy on Twitter; he is currently following 741,797 while Gates is following 42. Why would the U.S. President wish to follow so many Twitter users we are unsure of, but he is certainly one of the most popular users on Twitter.
