Toyota UK Recall Cars: 350,000 cars recalled in Britain

We have an update on the Toyota recall and specifically the UK recalled cars. In the last few hours, The Daily Telegraph has been able to post a news update that details just how many cars have been affected in the UK by the recent recalls.

The Telegraph is reporting the car recall has affected more than 350,000 UK vehicles in under a week due to safety fears. Over 180,000 Toyota cars were recalled due to faulty accelerator pedal concerns, and 171,372 Honda Jazz models were recalled in Britain, which was due to fears that the car could set fire.

Akio Toyoda recently said sorry after eight million cars around the world were affected by the Toyota recall. The Toyota UK managing director – Miguel Fonseca — has also admitted their failures, and you can see a video of Miguel reassuring customers below.

We hear that class actions in Canada and the USA are being prepared; the UK could also see similar litigation. What are your thoughts on the current recall problems? Share in the comments.
