Toyota Sales Soar: Incentives will continue

With all the troubles that Toyota has endured over recent months — it comes as a shock that the Japanese automaker has seen sales soar by 40 percent in the U.S. according to a top executive. Bob Carter, the Toyota Group Vice-President said that incentives used to help sales would continue past March.

One of the incentives is for free maintenance for returning Toyota customers — this could run into thousands of dollars. Another incentive includes zero-per cent financing on models that have been recalled.

CTV News reports that Carter announced this positive news while attending the New York International Auto Show. This does show that the troubled Japanese automaker can still do well despite all those recalls.

Toyota has recalled more than 8 million vehicles to date — 6 million in the U.S. alone, so customers do not seem phased by the brake and accelerator pedal issue.
