Toyota is in the process of writing to its customers that are affected by yet another recall. This latest one affects some 112,500 models, which vary from gasoline; hybrid and even EV powered ones. The vehicles in question are the Camry, Highlander and the RAV4.
Before you look at the Toyota recall checker to see if yours in one of the effected vehicles being recalled in March, 2015, we will narrow your list down just a little more for you.
From the 112,500 models, 110,000 of them are the Camry, Highlander and Hybrid models of the same type. There are also the 2014-2015 RAV4 vehicles. The remaining 2,500 are for the RAV4 EV.
The problem with that latter model is that the car could shift to neutral because of a possible issue with its software. You will know if there is a problem, as you will see the message Check EV System.
Car Recalls also tells us that the recall affecting 110,000 Toyota vehicles is because of a problem that sees the loss of power steering, and so reverts to manual instead.
The positive thing is that the cars can still be drove, it’s just the steering will be lot heavier to handle than usual.
Toyota has more details on these recalls, and to save waiting for your notice to be sent to you, then why not take a look at the Toyota recall checker by VIN while you wait.
