Toyota Recall 2010: List of New Models Affected by Brake Problem

We have news of yet another recall now, and once it again that honor goes to car giants Toyota. This time, they are recalling more than 1.5 million of their cars worldwide, due to a fresh problem involving the braking system.

As reported from the WSJ, the recall is divided into different regions, with Japan facing the full brunt of the recall with over 600,000 models being recalled.

According to the report, the list of models affected include the Toyota Crown, Mark X, Lexus IS, Avalon, Highlander and Lexus RX.

No accidents have been reported yet, but according to Toyota, there are problems related to fuel pump wires and brake master cylinders. There are also concerns over leaked brake fluid from the master cylinders.

If you have a 2003-2006 version of any of the Toyota models listed above, you should contact Toyota immediately for further details. Additional information can be seen in the official press release here.
