Toyota Prius Recall: Prius award rejected due to recall

It has been reported that Toyota have voluntarily refused to accept an award for their Prius model, following the widely publicized recall of some of their most popular vehicles, including the Prius.

As reported from CarAdvice, the award was given to Toyota for their Prius from the Japanese Government’s Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry.

But Toyota declined to accept, citing it as ‘unappropriate’, in the midst of a global recall of around 437,000 hybrid vehicles.

Complaints are still coming in thick and fast as a result of the floor mats issue, even though we told you that some Toyota owners are not too bothered by the problem.
