Total War: Shogun 2 – System Requirements Detailed

If you are thinking of picking up a copy of the upcoming Total War: Shogun 2 game when it arrives in stores on March 15th, then it might be worth checking the recently-revealed list of both minimum and recommended system requirements to see if you PC is capable of running the game.

According to a recent article by Brenna Hillier over at, the minimum spec requirements to run the Total War: Shogun 2 game includes 20GB free hard disk space, 1GB RAM (XP) / 2GB RAM (Vista and Windows 7), and a minimum screen resolution of 1024 x 768.

It also requires 256 MB Direct X 9.0c compatible graphics card (shader model 3) and a 2.6GHz Intel Single Core processor / 2GHz Intel Dual Core processor or AMD equivalent (with SSE2). You can check the list of recommended spec requirements via the website.

In the meantime, we also found an article with details on the “Limited Edition” and “Collector’s Edition” of the Total War: Shogun 2 game. As Andy Robinson at reports, the “Limited Edition” is currently available to pre-order from many online retailers.

The “Limited Edition” pack includes a complete set of armor for your online character, a starting bank of XP to spend on it, a unique playable faction (The Hattori Clan) and an additional historical battle scenario (Nagashino). The “Collector’s Edition” is available from Amazon.

This pack – which costs £59 – comes with all the “Limited Edition” content, plus a replica bamboo box containing a Shogun 2 art book and a figurine of Takeda Shingen. There will also be a very special pack costin £69.99, which comes with its very own chess set!!!
