This is something that I saw and found fairly interesting, Toshiba has a new glasses free 3D display that you can tilt the image to see it from different angles. Really clever stuff.
The tilting of the display is detected by a 6 axis acceleration sensor, the device then produces an estimation as to where you head is and as you tilt the device it will move the picture round so that you can see a different view point. It actively increases the range and broadens the field of view.
You can head to the bottom of our article to view the video courtesy of Engadget.com, I can see this technology being useful going forward, can you imagine being on a website, Wallmart for instance and looking at a product that you are thinking of purchasing you might be wondering what it looks like from the side, or back. This sort of technology will allow you to do that.
