There are so many Microsoft competitors out there and so we knew it was only a matter of time before Toshiba weighed in on the action. The DynaPad was revealed at CES and is a 2-in-1, 12-inch device, and very thin, unlike their other 2-1 models. However, before you even consider this, you have to realize that its specs puts it on par with the Surface 3.
Toshiba DynaPad Vs. Surface 3 specs – Both these models have a 1080p display, Intel Atom-series processor, 4G of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. However, the price of the Surface 3 is $499 compared to the DynaPad at $650. However, this comes with the keyboard right out of the box and let us not forget if you go for the entry-level Surface 3, this only comes with 2GB of RAM
With its specs and price it is clear to see that the DynaPad is an entry-level 2-in-1, although looking at its design you would think it was more of a premium product. We do find it strange how Toshiba clams this to be a Surface Pro 4 competitor, yet only offers Surface 3 specs.
Its design – This only weighs 1.28 pounds and is said to have a luxury finish and on the whole feels very well-built. The materials used are a mix of carbon fiber and a soft rubbery paint to help improve grip. The edges are chamfered, although flat at the same tine if you get what we mean.
Toshiba has also included a pressure-sensitive pen, which is made by Wacom, and so you know will be of good quality. You can learn more details by downloading this PDF.
