If you have set yourself a budget of less than $400 for a laptop, you will be surprised at just what your money can get you, and we are not talking about a cheap Chromebook either, but rather one that runs Windows 8.1. Some people go for whatever their budget allows, while others have a specific brand in mind.

Let’s say you have your heart set on a Toshiba laptop and cannot stretch to any more than $400, then we have two models for your consideration, the C55-B5362 and L55D-B5364.

L55D-B5364 laptop specs

Ok, so we know what you are thinking and yes these usually sell for $499.99 and $649.99 respectively, but with today being Cyber Monday, Staples has these two up on offer.

Toshiba C55-B5362 Vs L55D-B5364 laptop specs — Let’s go with the former first shall we, which consist of a 15.6-inch TruBrite TFT display and an Intel Core i3 processor with a clock speed of 1.7GHz and 2MB of cache. There is 4GB of RAM and a 500GB hard drive. Other features include DVD SuperMulti drive, 2 USB 2.0 ports, 1 USB 3.0, HDMI and a HD webcam.

Compare this to the latter model with its same size screen, but with a more powerful AMD Quad-Core A8-6410 processor, which is accelerated. There is also double the amount of RAM at 8GB and a 1TB hard drive. You also get AMD Radeon R5 Graphics and the same configuration of ports.

As for price, the Toshiba C55-B5362 will now set you back just $279.99 and the L55D-B5364 laptop $349.99 after Cyber Monday savings and a $50 rebate for both models.
