Top Gun 2 for iPhone: iTunes Price and Video Trailer

The sequel to the highly-acclaimed Top Gun game for the iPhone has just been launched on iTunes. If an aggressive, entertaining, suspense-filled flight-sim-like type game with lots of explosions and thrills is your thing, then check this one out.

If you played the first Top Gun for iPhone game, you know what to expect. But for those of you getting your mits in the cockpit for the first time, expect to see action-packed air-to-air and air-to-ground based combat with gorgeous looking level design and visuals.

Players can choose what combat aircraft they would like to take control of — the F/A-18 Hornet, the F-16 Fighting Falcon, and the F-14 Tomcat, all available with upgrades such as missile systems and cannons to blast down your enemy.

As for the story, the game continues on from the original but this time USS Enterprise is entering enemy waters and must hunt down the Communist aggressors.

Overall, the game seems like a very entertaining piece of work that will keep you on your iPhone until the battery goes dead. It’s engaging, intuitive, and at the most part — fun to play.

You can pick this up from the Apple iTunes store for $3.99, and will take up 215MB of your iPhone’s space.
