Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition release confirmed for Spike

We do find it strange how you buy a greatest hits album of music artist you like; only to find a couple of years down the line they release another. This seems to be just what Square Enix is doing with the release of Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition.

There has been a Collectors Edition of Tomb Raider, but this was only for current-gen consoles. It was obvious that Square Enix wanted to release a sort of greatest hits version for next-gen, and so we were not shocked when a listing for the Definitive Edition for the PS4 was seen on Amazon’s Italian site, which we recently reported on.

When this news was first leaked nothing else was known and for all we knew could have been fake, that was until Square Enix confirmed its existence.

The game developer and publisher has come out and announced that it has been hard to keep Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition a secret, and so have confirmed to DualShockers that the game will be released, but as yet did not offer any more details.

However, they did say we will learn more in early December, and with the Spike VGX Awards being around that time period, we expect that is when an announcement will be made.
