Titanium iPhone 3GS Mod Case

We all know that the iPhone looks very sleek but the back plastic case is a little on the boring side. However, there are a number of things that you can do, choose a mod case or if you are feeling adventurous, then you can choose to totally replace the back case for one made from titanium.

Engadget has learned that an iPhone owner has done just that, although it did take him months from start to finish. He first measured the iPhone 3GS digitally then drew the new cover in CAD. He had first tried the design in aluminum but did not go that well.

You can see by the photos here that the end result is elegant and classy, but the guy who designed it is still unhappy with a few things. We just hope that this iPhone 3GS case mod comes to the market, it is certainly something that I would consider doing, well once my warranty runs out that is.
