We have some more Titanfall 2 news to deliver to you now, following on from the recent suggestion that the game was moving away as an Xbox exclusive, to become a multi-platform game and launch on PS4 too.
However, one analyst by the name of Michael Pachter believes that Microsoft will still try and strike a deal with Respawn and EA to ensure that Xbox One still has some timed-exclusivity on Titanfall 2.
Furthermore, Pachter believes that Microsoft may opt for a similar deal in which they were able to obtain with Rise of the Tomb Raider which will launch on Xbox One first, indefinitely.
In a recent interview with GamingBolt, Pachter once again gave a very revealing insight into his predictions for Titanfall 2, many months in advance of an official unveiling by EA and Respawn.
Pachter believes that we won’t see Titanfall until sometime in 2017, as you can read from a quote below:
“So I would expect, since Titanfall came out in March of ‘14, you’ll see Titanfall 2 probably by Holiday of ‘17, so I expect that they’ll announce it at next year’s E3, a year from now. But yes it will be a multiplatform game and yes, Microsoft will offer something for a timed exclusive.”
That is some confident words you have to say, especially the last part in where he insists that Microsoft will be looking for a timed-exclusive deal.
Does he know something we don’t? At the moment, there is no release date whatsoever for Tomb Raider, meaning that PS4 owners are not going to see it for a long time.
If the same thing happens to Titanfall 2 as per Microsoft’s agreement, how will you feel about that? Obviously nothing is set in stone yet, but Pachter’s comments do make you think.
