Tinder expansion plans beyond dating

The Tinder app took the world by storm less than a year and a half ago because it was considered such an addictive matchmaking tool for mobile devices. However, the team behind the popular app has huge plans to expand further beyond dating, which they recently discussed after accepting a Crunchie award, as they were voted the best startup.

Tinder expansion plans beyond dating — The three guys behind Tinder had been asked in a recent interview what they have planned, as well as why they thought the app has been so popular?

They first explained how a future Tinder app update would include new countries along with different age brackets. However, it’s how they believe the technology behind the app will be able to be used for other things rather than matchmaking.

It’s certainly interesting to think that this technology could be used in other areas, as matching or connecting people is not always about dating. Just think of how Tinder for businesses could be used, as one business could search for another business that would be the perfect match for them. This is only one idea but you get the drift.

Don’t think for one moment that the guys behind Tinder will forget about the app that started it all, as they still have plans to stretch things even further, although they were very limited with the details.

Below is a video of that very interview with Tinder’s co-founders. Once you have watched the video we’d love to know what ideas you have for the next Tinder update, and what other areas you would like to see the technology used in?
