With June almost behind us we thought that it would now be a good time to look at the timeline of Apple iPhone 5 rumors, as the device is now officially late. So how on earth can we separate what is truth and what is a rumor, as some seem to conflict with each other. Here we will take a look through some of them and see if there is any validity to them.
The things that we believe will happen for certain are that the new iPhone will come with a dual-core A5 processor and an 8-megapixel camera. However, there have been recent rumors suggesting that Apple will still stick with the current 5-megapixel version instead.
No matter what you hear there is always another report that conflicts with them, take the design. At first we were told that the fifth-generation will see a complete redesign, then we were told that this was untrue and it will just be a minor upgrade. Now we are being told that there is to be a major upgrade and will have a teardrop design, a little like the 2010 MacBook Air.
We have known for sometime that the iPhone 5 would not be with us until September, now we are hearing that it could be with us in August instead. It seems no matter how you try to sort out the timeline of these rumors, another source is telling you something very different. However, for a complete breakdown of a timeline of these events then visit CNet.
There were rumors that the iPhone 5 could have been released in May to coincide with the 10th anniversary of the Apple Store. Well that date has come and gone, and all we got was a different way to order products in store — pretty boring really.
It is so hard to surmise what Apple will give us with the new iPhone, but we can tell you what we believe to be true. The first thing is one that we all know, dual-core processor, and we also believe that there is to be a camera upgrade along with dual-flash. We do not think that Apple will go with a curved glass design, as this could cause issues with many aspects of the phone.
With the way that technology is changing at a fast rate we expect to see a performance increase in the battery, as this is a key area where Apple still needs to improve. However, one thing that will make the iPhone 5 the best version yet is iOS 5, and we do believe that Apple will launch both at the same time.
Two other features will make the 2011 iPhone even better and that is iCloud and iTunes Match. These new services will not only help transform the iPhone but also the potential earnings of Apple at the same time.
