The Starbucks app allows you to order whilst talking to it

Starbucks are making sure that they stay on top of technology, and by doing this they’ve added a new voice-ordering function to Amazon’s Alexa and their app that’s available on iOS, this is called “My Starbucks barista”.

This is an extension to the app as they already have Pay Feature and Mobile Pay which means users can send and pay for an order in advance, this was all announced back in December last year.

The way you’ll be able to operate this is by simply speaking to your phone and the app will do the rest for you, you can even customise your food and drink however, this is only for customers who have iOS.

People who have Amazon Alexa, will be allowed to re-order a standard and predefined order by simply saying, “Alexa, order my Starbucks”. You can then pick up your beverage and food at a pre-dermined outlet.

This voice-ordering service will be available to only one thousand users at first, the company has already invested to continue this feature in the US through summer this year. Shout out to Engadget for the heads-up.
