The Order: 1886 assets, previews and gameplay

The Order: 1886 embargo has finally been lifted giving us access to various new details about the game, such as assets, previews and that all-important gameplay. The excitement level for this game has been steadily building, and has now reached a huge milestone because people will get to see if all the hype has been warranted.

We should always give developers the benefit of the doubt when introducing a new IP because we know that it’s a working progress, even after its release. Naughty Dog knows all about this with The Last of Us.

It’s great that the embargo has now lifted because we get an early The Order: 1886 preview of this PS4 exclusive title. This game does have a bit of added pressure when compared to The Last of US though, as it has to persuade some gamers who have yet to upgrade to the PS4 to purchase one.

Naughty Dog is known for their cut-scenes within a game, and The Order: 1886 is no different because VG247 reports that over half its demo unit contained cut-scenes. This is a great way to help draw you into a game, even though it’s not for every gamer.

The debut The Order: 1886 trailer and gameplay videos that you see below offer a good indication as to what the game is going to be like, with VG247 saying that it has great potential.

It is not all good news though, although we don’t expect it to, as The Order: 1186 combat is not as inspiring as what it could have been, but thankfully the weapons and environment more than makes up for this.

We ask that you look at the gameplay video below and tell us your thoughts.
