As James over at recently reported, fans can use the updated app — which is free to download and compatible with the iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad — to check on the latest news and read/watch interviews, as well as to watch video content or live streams.

The app also features a handy course overview that breaks down every hole with par, yardage, flyover videos and images. Another great feature is the real-time scoring, which provides users with video highlights of all the best moments and up-to-the-minute scores.

Those who download version 3.0 of The Masters Golf Tournament app for iOS devices can expect to see live updates of notable events, more live streaming than before, push notifications for breaking tournament information and action and an improved navigation.

According to the website, the live video is only available to those that live in the United States. Are you looking forward to The Masters 2011? Will you be downloading the updated application in order to stay up to date with all the latest action?
