The Last of Us PS4 KO’ed, Uncharted 4 silence

Are you excited about Naughty Dog’s next move on the PS4? The next-gen console is coming very soon indeed and we already know that the famed developer is currently working on a secret PS4 project. Unfortunately, we have news this week that this won’t be a PS4 version of The Last of Us.

While that is obviously disappointing for those that would love to see a PS4 port of the game, it could be further good news that the next game from Naughty Dog could be Uncharted 4 – the one game that users were perhaps surprised to see left off the PS4 launch list, but know too well that it will be worth the wait when announced.

Given the success of Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception, it’s a certainty that we are bound to see Uncharted 4 sooner rather than later. Would fans like to see Drake back on the big screen so soon though after Uncharted 3? – As we’ve also seen a lot of requests for something completely new from Naughty Dog along the same lines as The Last of Us.

Some interesting and somewhat disappointing comments were spotted this week over on the US PlayStation Blog. When discussing some DLC content for the PS3 version of The Last of Us, Naughty Dog’s Eric Monacelli revealed to a user that the team has ‘no plans’ to release a PS4 version of the game.

Bad news for everyone..
Bad news for everyone..

This is actually big news, since many fans were treating it as fact that Naughty Dog would want to cash in on a next-gen version. As mentioned above though, this disappointment could turn to anticipation rather quickly though if it is announced soon that their next project is Uncharted 4.

While Naughty Dog remains silent on this, give us your thoughts on the fact that we won’t see a PS4 version of The Last of Us. Is this a big blow, or would you rather see Uncharted 4 next anyway?
