The Last Guardian PS4 release alive, not dead

While Sony had one of their best GamesCom showings since we can remember, one game that some hoped to see as a surprise was still missing. Of course we’re talking about The Last Guardian and now Sony has been quick to reassure the masses that the game is still in development and on the way at a later date.

Don’t hold your breath on a 2015 release though as clearly Sony are not even ready to confirm its current status or even officially confirm that the game has switched to development on PS4 rather than PS3 which was its initial goal.

One thing we can say though is that we just know that the wait should be well worth it. Team ICO are known for many quality products and you can just take a look at the PS3 versions of Shadow of the Colossus and ICO to see that The Last Guardian will be something special.

Four years of development is still painful to some though, especially when we haven’t even seen a single piece of gameplay yet. It’s already bordering on the Final Fantasy Versus XIII and Duke Nukem Forever territory, with confirmation that we won’t even see the game at the 2014 Tokyo Game Show either.

Are you still looking forward to this game, or has all hype that you once had now disappeared? Give us your thoughts on the continued delay for The Last Guardian.
