The Last Guardian PS4 hopes still alive

With all of the new PS4 games as well as delays that are being announced recently, one game that everyone may have forgotten about is The Last Guardian. The game has been in exile as far as we can remember, but Sony has reminded everyone this week that it is still on the way – one day.

The Last Guardian in case you have forgotten was the very impressive-looking game from the respected guys over at Team ICO. It was originally billed as coming out for PS3 but now it is looking very likely that we will see the game as a PS4 release instead.

Sony are still unwilling to confirm this as fact though but most PlayStation fans suspect this as one of the planned announcements at E3 2014 in June.

This week, we have heard from SCE Worldwide Studios PlayStation software product development head Scott Rohde. Mr Rohde has been in the headlines for other reasons recently, notably when he revealed that Driveclub had gone back to the drawing board.

On the subject of The Last Guardian though, he had this to say when speaking to IGN:

“I’m not going to announce what platform it’s coming on, who’s working on it, who’s involved. But that is still a title that’s absolutely in the mix at Worldwide Studios. That’s the most you’re gonna get.”

He added that players have been very loyal to keep their faith in the game’s development, a bit of an understatement actually when you consider that The Last Guardian has been in development for over six years – Duke Nukem’s record may be in the balance you know.

Are you still holding out for this game though after being mesmerized at the original unveil? Hopefully the answers will be at E3 2014, but we doubt the community can take much more delays for this game.
