Tesla Model X performance upgrade option teased

Even though the Tesla Model X has not been released yet due to a series of delays, there is still a great deal of excitement surrounding this car, especially looking at the upcoming upgrade option. The optional Model X performance package will also see its range extended, and will make it the fastest SUV out there.

Tesla announced the new Ludacris option to its Model S yesterday, which sees its range increased thanks to larger batteries and a 0 to 60 miles per hour time of 2.8 seconds.

Tesla Model X performance option

Elon Musk has said that the Model X will also get the Ludacris option so that its range will also be extended, and will have a 0 to 60MPH time of 3.3 seconds. To put this into some kind of perspective, the Porsche Cayenne Turbo S takes 4.1 seconds to reach 62MPH.

The price of this option is not cheap though, as it will cost another $10,000. However, if you currently own a P85D version of the Model S, then you will pay half that, plus installation labor. You will need to hurry, as this offer is only good for 6 months.

Another great offer is how you can purchase the new 90kWh battery pack for just $3,000 if you already have the 85 kWh battery, which is currently the biggest pack.

We still do not have a specific Tesla Model X release date, but this new performance package is yet another tease of what this awesome looking SUV will get.
