While we still await the release of the Model X, Tesla has launched a new version of its popular Model S called the 70D, and will replace the S 60. However, not much has changed with the model, you just get a little bit extra in terms of range and drivability.
The D in the Tesla Model S 70D signifies that it is an all-wheel drive model, and so comes with a dual-motor setup, offering far better traction. The 70 also means that you get an even greater range than the outgoing model, as it now means you have a 70 kilowatt-hour rating from its battery pack.
Tesla’s new Model S 70D performance specs are just that little more impressive than the previous model, even if it is still the entry model. The electric motors will produce 329 horsepower and will go from 0 to 60mph in 5.2 seconds and reach a top speed of 140mph. As for range, you should expect to achieve around 275 miles, although Tesla does say you will be able to achieve more if you drive at a steady 65 miles per hour.
All-important Tesla Model S 70D price in UK, as well as those finance options — Believe it or not, you can get this upgrade version for just £54,500, which is including the £5,000 UK government grant.
If you were thinking of going for this new model on finance, then you have three options, 4, 5 and 6 years. When choosing one of these you will need to pay a down payment, which is £8,232, and a monthly payment of £1,089 for the 4-year term. As for the other terms those are £895 and £765 per month respectively. For more details visit Tesla UK.
