Tesco Connect 7-inch Windows 8.1 tablet with amazing reviews

If you are looking for the best Cyber Monday Windows 8.1 tablet, you would assume that you would need to live in the US to find it. That’s not the case this time however, as UK supermarket giants Tesco have decided to stage their own Cyber Monday UK deals this year and we can see that one product available is the Tesco Connect 7-inch Windows 8.1 tablet.

This is Tesco’s own branded tablet, similar in a way to the Hudl tablet which has gone on to be a massive success. Now Tescos are offering Windows based tablets at a cheap price and the new Connect 7 tablet looks like an amazing product.

The Tesco Connect 7-inch tablet specs include a speedy 1.33Ghz Intel Atom Z3735G quad-core processor, 1GB of RAM and a display resolution of 800 x 1280 pixels.

Intel HD graphics are included in this tablet, while there’s 32GB of storage memory, MicroSD support up to 64GB and a pair of 2MP cameras on the rear and also the front which is great to see.

There’s also Bluetooth 4.0 support, HDMI out, USB 2.0 and a one-year subscription to Office 365 – giving you direct access to Microsoft Word, Powerpoint, Excel and Outlook all on the tablet.

It really is an impressive device and amazing to think that Tesco has now lowered their price to £99 during Cyber Monday. You can check out the Tesco Connect Windows tablet reviews here if you don’t believe us, with the majority of feedback so far all suggesting that this is a deal you don’t want to miss out on.

Let us know your thoughts on this tablet and if you agree that it looks extremely promising for the price. Has anyone been lucky enough to get one yet?

Just want to say that its a great product for £59.00. Just be aware that this is a PC and unlike Android, doing a factory reset / restore can go wrong. Creating a recovery USB drive went wrong for me after Windows failed to boot after a Windows update. I downloaded “Windows with Bing” and created a bootable USB and I’m up and running again. Slight issues with some of the drivers. I’m currently at work using Teamviewer to remote on to finish Windows updates. Tesco confirmed when I rang the 0800 support number that there is no recovery software… Read more »

Loving the Connect 7 initial impressions are good, only thing I would like to find out is if it is microSDXC compatible, the manual says microSD and microSDHC but that may just be a printing omission and I would be surprised if it did not take XC but do not really want to spend out on a 64GB card just to find out. Hoping MS will release an update to enable apps etc to be installed on the card.

I’m 50/50 on this one, its exactly the same product as a linx7 but with the tesco apps, the desktop is tiny and will not enlarge and when messages pop up get your magnifying glass, there are no dedicated covers available only one fits all that covers the buttons. Save your money and buy a hudl imho it is a far better product and windows are fighting back with a second rate product

Its an excellent piece of hardware. I was on Android (phone and tablet) for a long time, and tried a lot. I’m no fan of Microsoft, but now have a touch screen i5 laptop, Nokia 1020 and one of these. I find them far better than Android – faster even. I think the thing is to ignore the misleading technical specifications – octo-core processors are unnecessary, and 6 million ppi + ultra HD simply don’t get used – like buying a Ferrari to do your weekly shopping in. Really impressed that this seems to be the full version of Windows… Read more »

£59 now, bought yesterday. Good at this price, screen good quality but a bit small. Would not have spent any more on it. A good way to try out Windows 8 on a touch screen device before committing to spend more on a laptop. Performance seems good so far, but not installed much yet.

great for the price but the z accelerometer is upside down so some software may not work correctly until a bios update comes out.
