Techcrunch hacked day before Apple’s big event

Tomorrow it is expected that Apple will unveil their Apple Tablet at a media event, this may be one of the biggest unveilings throughout 2010 which will be huge for technology blogs.

This morning one popular technology blog was hacked, at 0620 GMT TechCrunch was “compromised by a security exploit”, this resulted in the site being replaced by various messages, which could result in you inadvertently visiting adult websites.

As you can probably imagine this happening so close to the Apple event is very frustrating for the site’s administrators, the site is back online now after being offline for just shy of 4 hours.

Whether any other sites will be targeted today is yet to be seen, therefore I would be wary when visiting technology blogs today, for more information check out BBC News.
