We have some rather interesting news now for those of you that already own or are thinking of buying an Android Honeycomb tablet, as we’ve just received word that the Taptu app — the news reader app that features a social twist — is now available for Android Honeycomb tablets.
As Marin over on the intomobile.com website recently noted, the Taptu for Android Honeycomb application offers pretty much the same basic functionality as the Apple iPad version, such as the app is quick to import users’ RSS feeds and social networks for news.
However, the Android Honeycomb application does include a few new features that can only be found in the Google version. For example, the Taptu news reader app now enables you to save your stories to Instapaper, which is a great service that allows users to view content later on.
Users also have the ability to send stories via e-mail, Twitter and Facebook. The new version – which comes with different themes – will also enable you to import 100 RSS feeds from your Google Reader account, as well as being able to control multiple Twitter accounts from within the app.
We’ve embedded a video below this post, so you can see the app for yourself. Do you own an Android Honeycomb tablet? If so, will you be downloading the Taptu app?
