Tantalising leaked HTC Vigor specs

It has been a while since we spoke about the HTC Vigor in any detail, back in early August we speculated about it potentially having a 720p display and seemingly being headed to Verizon Wireless – now we have another source which has reaffirmed these rumors along with some other mouthwatering tech specs.

Engadget’s recent post sourced its information from an Italian Blog, apparently someone got their hands on an early Verizon HTC Vigor ROM and went over it with a fine tooth-comb – here’s what he apparently found. Obviously the following information has not been confirmed yet, so treat it as rumor for now.

Apparently the HTC Vigor will feature a 1.5GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM, a 4.3-inch display which outputs at 720p, an 8 megapixel camera on the rear, a 2 megapixel front-facing camera, Bluetooth 3.0, WiFi b/g/n and Beats audio. Apparently it ran Android 2.3.4 which has been masked by HTC Sense 3.5, however there is a chance that the Vigor will in fact ship with Android Ice Cream Sandwich.

As you can see the rumored specs are very impressive, we can’t wait to find out how accurate these are and if they do turn out to be genuine we think that it will be a front-runner in today’s high-end smartphone market – imagine Beats Audio paired with such a large high definition display – we’d buy it!

When we hear more about the HTC Vigor we will keep you posted, have you spotted a weakness in this smartphone’s rumored specs? We are a little worried about battery life as the specs are very impressive.
