Last month saw the likes of Honda and Toyota; along with several other car brands update its Takata airbag recall model list to an ever-increasing number. At the time the NHTSA had not been given much to go on in terms of what other models were involved, but a week and half on, and we now have a clearer picture.
Takata airbag recall update for June — We have just received an email from NHTSA in regard to more vehicles affected by these faulty airbags, and this is just the tip of the iceberg, as we expect even more models to be added to this massive airbag recall during the month of June.
We already knew that Mazda, Mitsubishi, and Subaru expanded their global Takata recalls by almost three quarter if a million vehicles, and now BMW, FCA, and Ford have been added to that list over the past few days.
The most recent additions to these recalls are even more Subaru’s and even Saab, along with what you see in the image below.
A full update of each model can be found on safercar.gov, where you have the most up-to-date consumer information on Takata air bag recalls, and also links to each specific carmaker and their VIN look-up tools.
We do ask that you keep visiting Product-reviews or the website above in order to find out the latest information being supplied to the NHTSA directly from the big car brands.
