T-Mobile Sidekick 4G: Hands-on Video Shows Custom UI

Recently we told you all about the T-Mobile Sidekick 4G‘s impressive specifications, now we have a hands-on video for you and we must say that the device looks pretty neat.

The Sidekick 4G is the first Sidekick smartphone to run Android, however in the video (embedded at the end of this post) you see how the UI has been overhauled to suit the Sidekick’s design, oddly there is no mention of Android within the device’s “About” section.

In the video AndroidCommunity’s Chris Burns gives us a quick tour of the Sidekick 4G, however the software has not been finalized yet, this resulted in some of the features such as Cloud Texting and the smartphone’s camera not working, however developers will undoubtedly be fixing these issues soon.

You can see AndroidCommunity’s fully detailed hands-on here, you will see a lot of photos which give us a good-look at its physical design.

After watching the video and looking at the photos we have to say that the pop-out display’s mechanism is nice and the device looks very comfortable to hold in your hand (when using it in landscape mode), hopefully we will see a hands-on video soon which shows finalized software running on the Sidekick 4G, when we do we will keep you posted.

Check out the video below, are you impressed by the T-Mobile Sidekick 4G?
