We have heard of a lot on the upcoming T-Mobile G2 handset lately, but nothing to do with a confirmed release date. However, that has all changed as we can confirm that a release date has now been set in stone.
As reported from Phandroid, new information has come courtesy of TmoNews, who have managed to obtain some official T-Mobile paperwork.
On it, we see that the HTC Vanguard, better known as the T-Mobile G2 has been slated for a launch date of September 29th. The source also reveals that customers may be able to start pre-ordering the device on September 1st- the same date as Apple’s big media event coincidentally.
Has the rumor wagon done enough for you to seriously consider the T-Mobile G2 as a viable smartphone phone though? My answer is no, but that may change once T-Mobile start unleashing some official info.
