Those of you with a T-Mobile handset have been wondering if their handset will be getting Android 6.0 Marshmallow support in the future, and the good news is the carrier has now made it an easy process for US customers to check.
Let’s not get this confused with one of those online checkers where you can put your model number in, and you are told if there will be Android 6.0 Marshmallow support. This is a far simpler system, where you have a T-Mobile support page that offers details on what current devices will be getting the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update.
Once you have seen your device on that page, if there at all, just click on it and you will be given details as to whether it is currently being worked on for the update.
T-Mobile has three levels to its Android 6.0 Marshmallow handset update process, and these are Manufacturer Development, T-Mobile Testing and Completed. You can see a list of all the smartphones that are due to be updated on this Software Updates Page.
In the meantime, you can also learn about all the new features in Android Marshmallow, such as App Permissions, Fingerprint support, Mobile payments, App drawer, Power and charging and Google Now.
