Symbian ^4 Screenshots: Nokia’s Answer to Android and iOS 4

If you were a little disappointed with the Nokia N8 and its Symbian ^3 operating system we have some good news for you, the Symbian Foundation has been working on Symbian ^4 and I must say it looks nicer than its predecessor.

The new user interface has a very simplistic look and feel, you can see five screenshots showing the new design here, we have also embedded a few of the screens towards the end of this post.

It is hard to judge the screenshots until we get to see some hands-on video showing the performance and functionality that the environment offers, however at least we can see pretty solid foundations being set by its somewhat minimalistic design.

It is thought that Nokia are looking to introduce Symbian ^4 in late 2010, obviously this depends heavily on the success of Symbian ^3 and the future plans for Meego. I think it is safe to say that by this time next year there should be a few Symbian ^4-devices out there.

Check out the screens below, are you impressed?
