Some Surface Pro 4 and Surface Book owners have noticed these devices are suffering from battery drain, and so far have been unable to find out what the culprit is — until now that is. It would seem that Windows Hello could actually be the cause, and thankfully there is a fix.
The Surface Pro 4, and Surface Book battery drain fix is a simple one, which is good news, and so will not require a Windows 10 hot fix. The battery drain does not happen while these devices are being used, but rather while in Sleep Mode or Standby.
If you are suffering from this issue, then the possible fix is to go to Settings, and then Accounts and Sign-in options. You then just have to remove the facial Windows Hello login. Please let us know if this solution works for you?
We say this because this is not necessarily an official fix, but rather one that should get you by, and so we might have to wait until the next Windows 10 update, which could fall on November 10.
This is not the only Surface Pro 4 issue that owners are having, and so you might want to consult this Microsoft forum to see if you can find an answer to your SP4 problem.
