Over the Summer, we informed you about certain Surface Pro 3 WiFi problems that were causing new buyers a lot of stress. At the time, Microsoft acknowledged the issue and said they were working on a fix. Now, a few months later we are pleased to see that action has now taken place and a new Surface Pro 3 update is available to download.
Even better, is that it specifically improves the WiFi performance on the tablet, with notable fixes to those that were having problems finding a connection when waking up the device from sleep mode.
The rollout has now begun and should have reached many Surface Pro 3 owners already. Like always though, it may take some time to reach all users and we already know that not everyone will receive the update at the same time.
You can also go to Settings > Change PC Settings > Update and recovery > Check now > View details > Install to manually check for the latest update and install straight away.
Aside from the WiFi issues related to sleep mode, Microsoft is also planning to improve the Surface Pro in other areas. We’ve taken the official Surface Pro 3 September update notes from Microsoft’s website and you can read through all of the changes below.
Let us know if you already have this update, or if you are still waiting. Are your WiFi problems gone for good now?
