Hours before the Apple event, Microsoft has finally made their new Surface 2 and Pro 2 devices available. Shipping will now begin, with consumer and business users also being able to choose from a range of new accessories, which also hit shelves today.
The new Microsoft Surface 2 and Pro accessories are more varied this year, allowing for a greater choice. We just hope sales are up on their predecessors, as we know Microsoft struggled in this area? However, the new range has a lot more going for it, such as improved battery life, performance and greater availability.
For those of you who live in the UK the new Surface 2 price starts at £359, with the Surface Pro 2 price starting at £719. You will pay more if you are looking for more storage.
Like we said above, there are far more accessories this time, well 16 in all. However, if you live in the US, then there are 41 in total on Microsoft’s Online Store, although just 7 of them are new.
The new Surface 2, Pro 2 accessories are the Touch Cover 2, Type Cover 2, Power Cover, Docking Station for Surface Pro, Wireless Adapter for Typing Covers, Car Charger with USB and the Arc Touch Mouse Surface Edition. One or two of these will not be available until early 2014.
It is hard to choose what accessory will be the most popular, as we all have different needs, but the new docking station should prove very popular. The Price of these can be seen on the US or UK Microsoft Online Stores.
