Super Smash Bros Wii U release date update

While Zelda: A Link Between Worlds and Pokemon X and Y have given 3DS owners reason to be very happy, one Wii U game with Super Mario 3D World is currently the driving force for console owners. On the bigger picture, everyone wants to know what the Super Smash Bros release date will be on both systems, and now we have a pleasing update to give you on the matter.

Although Nintendo has given out various character reveals such as Megaman, The Wii fit trainer and Sonic, we still haven’t had any news on a release date. We know that the game is coming in 2014, but now it looks like the launch period could be Spring 2014.

Nintendo’s German General Manager Bernd Fakesch has been caught giving out some revealing information, saying that Smash Bros is lined up for Spring 2014, along with Mario Kart 8 as well – another big hitter for the Wii U.

As far as we’re aware, this is the first time where anyone officially connected to Nintendo has said something on the Smash Bros release period. Spring isn’t too far away either, so let’s hope that we get the confirmation from Nintendo soon.

We’re also guessing that more third-party character reveals are on the way as well – who would you like to see announced next?
