Now that Super Mario Galaxy 2 is available in North America reviews are coming in thick and fast, and I must say going by the 24 reviews that Metacritic feature on their page, the game is well worth purchasing.
As you probably know Metacritic give releases a Metascore, this Metascore is generated by averaging out critic reviews, currently their Super Mario Galaxy 2 page gives the game a Metascore of 98 out of 100, currently their Metascore is based on 24 critic reviews, 14 of which score the game a perfect 100 out of 100.
These perfect scoring reviews include reputable reviews/critics such as Edge Magazine, 1UP, IGN and GameRadar. The lowest scoring reviews still gave the game an impressive 90 out of 100, these reviews were from GameDaily, GamePro and Wired.
User reviews also feature on Metacritic, currently the game has a score of 9.5 out of 10 based on 122 user votes, therefore it seems as if pretty much everyone is impressed with Nintendo’s latest offering.
