Super Mario Bros Crossover 3.0 update is pure win

We have some fantastic news for those of you who love Mario and online flash games. If you haven’t heard about Super Mario Bros Crossover already, a new update to the free game should certainly wet your appetites. A trailer has been released for the forthcoming Super Mario Bros Crossover 3.0 update and it is going to be an even better game than it was before – if that was possible.

Mario Crossover works in your internet browser and lets you play through many of the famous Super Mario Bros levels choosing characters from many different game franchises. For example, you can play as Link from Zelda, Simon from Castlevania, Samus from Metroid and many more.

Each character comes with unique abilities tailored to their skills in their respective games, and now the game is getting a massive update with update 3.0. New characters are on the way, a new difficulty level and new levels that have been adapted from the Super Mario Bros Special game.

A lengthy trailer showcases all of the new features in greater detail and it is a must watch if you have played version 2.1 of the game, or are simply a general fan of Mario. We just had a brief play-through ourselves to remind us of the joy that can be had, when playing as Link on Super Mario Bros 1 levels, whilst listening to music from SNES classic A Link to The Past.

It’s arguably one of the best flash games on the internet and it’s amazing to think that it is still completely free to play given the amount of effort and polish that has gone into making the game. Watch the trailer above to see the new changes and look forward to Super Mario Bros Crossover 3.0 releasing sometime in May or June – only on

Is it one of your favorite flash games ever?
