Super Joey DVR availability, Dish releases today

Here in the UK we are limited to the number of TV channels we can record at any one time, Virgin allow you to record three channels, with Sky allowing just two. However, we know that if you subscribe to Dish in the US, then we know you would have been keeping a close eye as to the Super Joey DVR availability.

We can tell you that Dish has finally released the new DVR today, which allows you to record eight shows at once. This is done by extending the Hopper DVR into different rooms, as well as adding a further two tuners to the Hopper.

Even though the Super Joey is available to new and current customers, Dish has yet to offer pricing details, but we don’t expect it to be a cheap upgrade.

TV viewers have often run into issues when they found that their TV shows had clashed, but the thought of eight shows clashing at once does seem hard to believe. Having said that, if you have a large house with several people living in it, then there is always the possibility that you will be trying to record something at the same time as many of the other people in the house.
